Bettie W. Dillon, 91, of Morehead, passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 in the Life Care Center of Morehead.
She was born on April 22, 1925 in Rowan County, a daughter of the late George Warren and Edrie Fay Hogge DeAtley.
Mrs. Dillon was a retired schoolteacher for the Rowan County School System.
She was a graduate of Morehead State University and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cleve Dillon, who passed away in 1972 and a granddaughter in 1971.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda D. Mollette of Inez, four sons, James D. Dillon of Morehead, Matt C. Dillon of Prestonsburg, David M. Dillon of Clearfield and Nelson Ballard of Flemingsburg, one brother, David DeAtley of Brandon, Florida, two sisters, Peggy Gunder of Lakeland, Florida and Fay Marie DeAtley of Florida, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
At her request, private burial was in the Brown Cemetery.
The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead cared for all arrangements.
