Brenda's Story

Text size

Brenda Carol Morehouse Comstock of Cuero, was born on Dec. 9, 1946 in Morehead, to Charles and Corda Morehouse. She went to Heaven on Dec. 25, 2016 to celebrate the birthday of her beloved Jesus. Brenda was absolutely the most giving and caring person to ever exist and she never met a stranger. Her home was always open, the coffee was always hot, sweets on the table and a quilt on the couch. She loved her friends and family more than words could describe and no doubt they will miss Brenda saying and doing the things they wish they could.

Brenda was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jerry Comstock on March 23, 2016. She is survived by one daughter and a large blended family that she loved and considered her own. Her daughters Angie Coste, Janet Simoneau, and sons Jerry Comstock, Jr., Jeff Comstock, Jimmy Comstock, and their spouses Rex Coste, Rhonda Comstock, Robin Comstock and Sue Comstock. Brenda was closer to her siblings than imaginable and shared very special times with them. Her sister Wanda Hunt and brothers Roger Morehouse and Otis Morehouse will miss her dearly. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, her second family at Calvary Baptist Church and many very special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son Josh Comstock; brother Robert "Bob" Morehouse; and grandchild Tyler Comstock.

A memorial service will take place on Dec. 31, 2016 at 11 am at the Calvary Baptist Church in Cuero with pastors Bill Gleason, Grady Arnold, and George Yarbrough officiating. This will be followed by a celebration of life and large gathering of friends and family in Kentucky in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 64, Cuero, TX 77954.
