Charles's Story

Charles Marion Fields, age 84, of Morehead, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at his residence. Born Saturday, Sept. 5, 1931 in Stanford, he was the son of the late John Wesley Fields, Sr. & Luana Whitehead Fields. He was the widow of the late Norma Ray Bourne Fields, who preceded him in death Aug. 28, 2002. Charles worked, for 42 years, as the Store Manager for Kroger, was a member of Stanford Christian Church, and a member of the Lions Club. He was an avid golfer, avid fisherman, and a fanatical UK Fan.

Charles leaves behind two sons, Lon Wesley Fields (Danielle) of Lancaster, and Michael Charles Fields of Lexington; and one sister, Lola Luana Blankenship of Lexington.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Wesley Fields, Jr. and Albert Whitehead Fields; and one sister, Elizabeth Ruth Tobinski.

A graveside service and burial will take place 2:00PM Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford with Bro. John Blanton officiating. Ronnie Woods Gilbert, Tommy Bourne, Allen Ray Saunders, Mark Blankenship, Steve Blankenship, Jackman Ochs, and Kerry Courtwright will serve as Active Pallbearers. Anna Lisa Ochs, Lucy Embry, and Beth Blankenship will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
