Charles Wade Kelsey, age 52, of Haldeman Heights, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at his residence.
Born November 9, 1964, in Rowan County, Charles is the son of Ernie and Mary Kilgore Kelsey of Lewis County.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Chris (Michaela) Kelsey of Morehead; two daughters, Crystal (Michael) Surface of Morehead and LeeAnn (Travis) Butler of Olive Hill; and two grandchildren, Travin Butler and Caidin Kelsey.
Other survivors include two brothers, Jake (Cheryl) Kelsey of Olive Hill and Wayne (Angela) Kelsey of Morehead; one sister, Shirl (Anthony) Blair of West Liberty; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his fiance, Michelle Viars Kelsey, on May 7, 2017.
Charles was the former owner of Kelsey Car Detailing and enjoyed fishing, 4-wheeling, rock climbing, dancing, boating, camping, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Butch Kelsey officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Chris Kelsey, Michael Surface, Wayne Kelsey, Jake Kelsey, Dave Ollberding, and Johnny Ray. His grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
