Darlene Dillon Trent, age 79, of Tackett Branch, Morehead, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.
Born May 28, 1937, in Morehead, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Anna Adkins Dillon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Edward, Homer, Bobby, and Billy Dillon, and five sisters, Betty Brown, Judy Adkins, Marsha Jane Dillon, Shirley Trent, and Christine Conn.
Darlene was also preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Trent on June 19, 2001; a daughter, Debra Jean Trent Howard; and a great grandson, Kaden Wade Dehart.
She is survived by one son, Ricky (Robin) Trent; one daughter, Susie (Charles) Gardner, all of Morehead; eight grandchildren, Stephen Trent, Amy Day, Roseanna Bowling, Stephanie Crawford, Ritchie Trent, Duane Trent, Rodney Clevenger, and Scottie Clevenger; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Darlene was a homemaker and former employee of KFC for more than 15 years. She enjoyed canning, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jeff Fannin, Pastor Randall Williams, and the Rev. Jeremy McCleese officiating. Burial was in Trent Cemetery on Rainbow Road.
Pallbearers were Danny Austin, Daniel Austin, Josh Crawford, Stephen Trent, Gary Trent, and Joseph Day.
Visitation was 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
