David Wayne Waddle, age 56, of Old River Road, Salt Lick, was called Home on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at his residence.
He was born December 12, 1960, in Dayton, Ohio, a beloved son of his parents, Edgar Donald Waddle, who passed away February 26, 2017, and Phyllis Jean Dyer Waddle, who passed away June 15, 2012.
David is survived by his loving family: brother, Donald R. Waddle; sister, Donna Jean Waddle Ball; niece, Samantha Jean Waddle; nephew, Jamie Daniel Ball; and great nieces: Paisley and Chloe Pergram, all of Salt Lick.
Twenty-six years of Davids life were spent primarily in Green Hill, Indiana, although he and his family traveled frequently to the Morehead area visiting family and friends before Kentucky became his permanent residence in 1988. David was an original developer of Cave Run Lodging in Farmers and was a big part of promoting tourism in his community. He was also a general contractor for many years. David enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, and golfing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, which brought him much joy. He was a compassionate Christian who looked for the good in all.
