Denies Webb Arthurs, age 81, of Dry Branch Road, Soldier, passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.
Born July 12, 1935, in Olive Hill, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Ada Roseberry Webb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul "Jack" Arthurs, and one son, Frank Arthurs.
Mrs. Arthurs is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Debra) Arthurs, Roy (Jama) Arthurs, and Randy (Phylana) Zeigler, all of Olive Hill; one daughter, Wanda Gail (Roger) Messer of Morehead; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Other survivors include one brother, Carl Webb of Olive Hill; three sisters, Naomi (Clifton) Crum of Mansfield, Ohio, Nancy Shepherd of Morehead, and Antonia (Bruce) Jesse of Olive Hill; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Mrs. Arthurs was a homemaker and member of the Dry Branch Church of God. She enjoyed spending time with friends and neighbors.
Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Gayle Price officiating. Burial was in Bradley Cemetery on Dry Branch Road.
Pallbearers: Alex Messer, Brad Messer, Zachary Messer, Jacob Messer, Dustin Zeigler, Randy Zeigler III, and Derek Bradley.
Visitation was 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
