Donald Clay Ledford, age 51, of Morehead, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 7, 2017, at his home.
Donald was born September 2, 1965, in Charlotte, NC, and is the son of Scott and Judy Ledford; brother of Darrell Ledford and wife Rhonda; and uncle to Kyle and McKayla Ledford, all of Morehead. He also has many loving friends and special caregivers.
Donald and his family moved to Morehead when he was six years old. He attended University Breckinridge and Rowan County schools and later Pathways Workshop. He was a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God.
He loved watching NASCAR and UK basketball, cheering on Jeff Gordon and being one of the biggest Big Blue fans. He was a devoted watcher of Channel 10 Buy-a-Dog Sell-a-Hog to get the local weather forecast. Donald enjoyed country music, dancing, word search puzzles, coloring velvet posters, and collecting pop tabs.
Donald was the most loving and affectionate person who was a real blessing to everyone who knew him.
A service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Max Molihan and Bro. Herbert D. Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Kyle Ledford, Perry Ray Lewis, Chris Terry, Herbert D. Lewis, Jimmy Hampton, Larry Hampton.
Visitation is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
