Eldean White Wheat
Mrs. Wheat, the daughter of the late Bartie Shanks and Bernice Lowery Shanks, was born in Madison County on July 16, 1935. She retired as a Night Supervisor at EKU. She loved to go to church and was a member of High Point Apostolic Church in Winchester. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters and going to the ocean.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse White.
Survivors include two sons: Keith & Lorrina White of Morehead and Paul & Teresa White of Richmond; three brothers: Kenny & Kathy Shanks, Arthur Shanks and Jason & Diane Shanks; three sisters: Bonnie Jean & Harold Edwards, Doris Romick and Wanda & Bro. Gary Northern; six grandchildren: Shon & Bridgette White, Ella & Stone Clay, Aaron & Stacey White, Katie & David Stork, Lauren White and fiancée Tyler Capps and Sierra Blevins; six great grandchildren: Camilla Clay, Vivian Clay, Eva Clay, Lynlee True, Azi Stork and Victoria White and her great-great granddaughter Juli Heart.
Mrs. Wheat was also preceded in death by her son Shelby White; two brothers: Harold "Boots" Shanks and Carl Shanks and two sisters: Juanita Abney and Mary Kersey.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home in Richmond with Rev. Barney Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shon White, Aaron White, Stone Clay, Tyler Capps, Millard McIntosh and Bro. Gary Northern.
