Ellis Bradford, age 83, of Airport Road, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
He was born March 8, 1934, in Prestonsburg, a son of the late George and Mary Sloan Bradford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Shepherd Bradford; 10 siblings; and a grandson, Timothy Scott Riggs.
Ellis is survived by two daughters, Penny Kenley of Morehead and Arline (John) Barman of Lexington; three sons, Thomas (Faye) Bradford of Mentone, Indiana, Scott Nethercutt of Huntington, Indiana, and Adam Bradford of Morehead; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
Other survivors include two brothers, Minefee Bradford and Paul Thurman Bradford, both of Silver Lake, Indiana, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ellis was a retired Floyd County coal miner and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the Bradford Cemetery at David in Floyd County with Thomas Bradford officiating. Pallbearers: Johnny Riggs, Michael Klingler, Kevin Gower, Jonathan Riggs, Richmond Bradford.
Visitation is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018, at Northcutt &Son; Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
