Gary Lee's Story
Gary Lee "Bub" Pettit, Jr., age 38, of Hungry Hollow Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
Born January 15, 1980, in Morehead, he is the son of Gary Lee Pettit, Sr., and Connie Jo Tackett Pettit of Morehead. In addition to his parents, Bub is also survived by his wife, Lindsey Barnes Pettit, whom he wed June 2, 2007; one son, Jonah Lee "Bubby" Pettit and two daughters, Maggie Renea Pettit and Ally Grace Pettit, all at home; one sister, Jodie Lea Kidd of Flemingsburg; nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Kimberly Renee Pettit Fultz, on July 1, 2016.
Bub was a former truck driver for Salyers Trucking Company in Salyersville and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his children. He was a member of the Lower Rock Lick Enterprise Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Willie Skaggs, Jr. and Pastor Bobby Tackett, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery.
Pallbearers: James Arnett, Todd Arnett, Zach Arnett, Perry Ray Lewis, Kyle Ledford, Brad Phillips, Tim Plank, and Matt Brown. Honorary pallbearers: Jonah, Maggie, and Ally Pettit.
Visitation is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to assist with funeral expenses.
