Helen's Story

Helen Fern Plank Bryant Kiser, age 76, of Cranston Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Born Sept. 23, 1940, at North Fork in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Plank and Patricia Rose Plank.

Helen is survived by three sons, Jerry Bryant (Cathy) of North Carolina, Tim Bryant (Pamela Barron) of Mt. Sterling, and David Bryant of Louisville; two daughters, Robyn Hayes of Lexington and Melissa Manley (James) of Owingsville; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Also surviving are three brothers, Curtis Plank of Dayton, Ohio, David Plank and Dewayne Plank, both of Morehead; two sisters, Lori Buckler and Doris Kidd, both of Morehead; and several nieces nephews.

Helen was a former teacher's aide at Tilden Hogge Elementary and a special needs assistant at Rowan County Senior High School. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Helen attended the Adams-Plank Church of God and Rock Fork Gospel Tabernacle.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Adams-Plank Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Jamie Lee Cooper, Joe Cooper, Jonathan Cooper, Kent Logan, Jeff Logan, Jack Little, and Caleb Wiersum.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
