Ima Jean's Story
Ima Jean Caskey Howard Mynhier, age 82, of Bluestone Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 4, 1934, in Morgan County, she was a daughter of the late Omer and Myrtle Fairchild Caskey. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Jane Howard; one granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Howard; two sisters, Jewell McKenzie and Reva Keeton; and two brothers, Harold Caskey and infant Clyde Caskey.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Milburn E. Howard, and her second husband, Cecil Ray Mynhier.
Ima Jean is survived by two sons, Michael and Marilyn Howard of Lexington and Jeff and Kathy Howard of Morehead; one daughter, Barbara Howard of Morehead; three grandchildren, Sean Howard, Nicole Smith, and Andrea Wright; and five great grandchildren, Megan Smith, Logan Howard, Aedan Wright, Brooklyn Richardson and Jayda Richardson.
Other survivors include one brother, Omer Caskey, Jr., of Olive Hill; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends; and her faithful dog, Harley.
Ima Jean retired from the Morehead Treatment Center as a youth worker and attended the Siloam Church of God.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Poston Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Jason Adkins, Logan Howard, Sean Howard, Jamie Williams, and Steve Gundencoff.
Visitation is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
