Jessica Lynn Scott Sturgill, age 35, of Carrollton, formerly of Morehead, passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017.
Born Sept. 24, 1981, in Rowan County, she is the daughter of Jeff Scott of Morehead and Fern Estep Smith of Morehead and companion James Layne of Olive Hill.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three daughters, Summer Lashay Slone of Morehead and Dakota Lynn Sturgill and Presley Abigail Sturgill, both of Clearfield; three brothers, Brian Smith (and his father, Jackie Smith) and Willie Scott, all of Morehead, and Jeffrey Scott of Mt. Sterling; three sisters, Hannah Scott of Olive Hill and Audra Scott and Selina Mollohan, both of Morehead; paternal grandparents, Betty and Tony Riddle of Owingsville; several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Burnest and Vada Plank Estep.
Jessica graduated from Rowan County Senior High School and was a waitress at Down on Main in Carrollton. She enjoyed shopping, being around people, and most of all, spending time with her daughters.
Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in Estep Cemetery.
Pallbearer: Alex Robinson, Kevin Sturgill, Terry Lowe, Jason Curtis, Micah Wallace, Gary Brown, Wilson Conley, Tony Kronmueller, and Anthony Kronmueller.
Visitation was after 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
