Jonathan David Smith, age 31, of McBrayer Road, Clearfield, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017, from injuries sustained in a house fire.
Born October 25, 1986, in Morehead, Jonathan is the son of Linda Hall Smith of Morehead and the late Bill David Smith. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a half-brother, James Talmadge Smith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancée, Tierra Maze of Clearfield; three children, Andrew David Smith, Leigh Nicole Smith, and Erin Faye Smith; a sister, Ada Smith, all of Morehead; and a half-sister, Sheryl (Phil) Havens of Mt. Orab, Ohio.
Jonathan graduated from Rowan County Senior High School and was a carrier for the Grayson Journal-Enquirer. He enjoyed working on carsespecially stereo systemsdrinking Ale-8, 4-wheeling, camping, and attending the Poppy Mountain Music Festival every year. He enjoyed spending time with his children, family, and friends.
Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor James Cobb officiating. Burial was in Fultz Cemetery on Lee Branch.
Pallbearers were Dakota Jones, Chad Alley, Matthew Hollingsworth, Paul Dewayne Fultz, Kenneth Eldridge, Shawn Mills, Christopher McTush, Zachary Osborne, and Jay Baker.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
