Kavin Ray Archer, 47, of Olive Hill entered into rest Monday afternoon, Aug. 29, 2016, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born Nov. 3, 1968 in Rowan County, to Garnet Plank Archer Lemaster of Olive Hill, and the late Larry Bruce Archer
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his great-grandfather George Junior Archer; great-grandmother Ellen Cooper Plank; great-great grandmother Omie Archer; great-uncle Minaard Archer; and cousins Frankie James Stacie and Amy Lynn Tackett.
Kavin was employed by RJ Corman as a heavy equipment operator. An avid hunter, he was a former member of Bluegrass Sportsman League in Nicholasville. While working on the Camp Nelson Bridge, he received a plaque for his work. Kavin was of the Christian faith and was baptized at Bethel Christian Church in Nicholasville.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Justin Ray Archer; two sisters, Karri Jean Thornton and Karen Ann Archer; one brother, Barry Lynn Archer; one grandfather, Warren Thomas Plank and several nieces, nephews, beloved cousins, family and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016 at 1:00pm at the Adams-Plank Enterprise Baptist Church, Rt. 377 in Morehead, with burial following in the Adams-Plank Cemetery.
Friends called from 11:00- 1:00pm, Thursday at the church.
Services were under the direction of Duvall and Moore Funeral Home, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill.
