Louise F.'s Story
Louise F. Buckner Little, age 89, of Heritage Place, Morehead, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.
She was born October 11, 1927, in Rowan County, one of twelve children of the late Benjamin H. and Lizzie Plank Buckner. Besides her parents, Louise was preceded in death by seven sisters, Inez Lorene, Nillie, Beulah, Mary, Gladys, Geneva, and Opal; three brothers, Frank, Noah, and Freddie; and one granddaughter, Kelly Ann.
Her husband, Ester Little, whom she married November 19, 1944, passed away September 25, 1968.
Louise is survived by her four children, Billy Joe Little of Grayson; Martha Christine Smith and husband Eldon of Vanceburg; Paul Eugene Little and wife Betty of Morehead; and Jackie Allen Little and wife Patty of Morehead; eight grandchildren, Tammy, Patricia, Melissa, Travis, Josh, Cody, Tim, and Tina; nine great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and five step great grandchildren.
Other survivors include one brother, Fornie Buckner of Crestline, Ohio; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
Louise was a dedicated and loving mother and a very giving person. She was a Christian and attended the First Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Brad Bennington officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
