Meade S. Roberts, 93, formerly of Morehead, passed away October 26, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Natalie Thompson Roberts, son David Hugh Roberts, daughter Mary Meade Hall, grandchildren Courtney Wilder, Chris Roberts and Matthew Meade Hrabko, and great-grandchildren Presley and Jack Wilder. He was preceded in death by his brother David.
Meade was born in Panama, NY, in 1924, to the late Jay P. & Grace Eddy Roberts. He lived in Cincinnati for many years, working at Thompson Electric and teaching in the public schools. A graduate in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State, he later taught Industrial Arts at Morehead State University from 1967 to 1989, and fondly recalled his many students and associates there.
Meade was always quick with a laugh or a magic trick, and enjoyed playing cards with his buddies, backgammon with his wife, or most any game with children & grandchildren. He & Natalie were avid folk dancers, and shared interests in nature, travel, and lifelong learning.
Meade was a past president of the Lake Lewman Association, and both he and Natalie cherished the years at their little cabin outside of Morehead.
