Robert's Story

Robert "Bobby" Clark, age 81, of Lower Licking Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017, at his residence.
Born July 14, 1936, in Soldier, he was a son of the late Elva Burns "Bob" Clark and Mearl Wilson Clark. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David B. Clark, and one sister, Eulane Evans.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 58 years, Clydia Carter Clark, whom he married March 21, 1959; four daughters, Leslie Clark Baker of Morehead, Kim (Greg) Elkins of Winchester, Robin Clark of Morehead, and Bobbi Jo (Paul) DeCecchis of Williamsburg, Virginia; six grandchildren, Matthew Elkins, John Elkins, Michael Russell, Ethan Russell, Madison DeCecchis, and Tessa DeCecchis; and one great grandson, Gregory Elkins.
Also surviving are three sisters, Joan Cooper of Dayton, Ohio, Judy (Earl) Martt of Georgetown, Ohio, and Carla (Herbert) Caudill of Mansfield, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
Bobby was a U. S. Army veteran and retired after 50 years as a meat cutter with Allen's IGA, many of those years as the meat manager. He was a great story teller and loved playing the banjo, working in the garden, driving the tractor and tinkering around on the farm, fishing, and reading Western books.
Funeral services will be conducted 4 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Robert Clark Cemetery on Lower Licking Road, Morehead, with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.
Pallbearers: Greg Elkins, Matthew Elkins, John Elkins, Paul DeCecchis, Michael Russell, and Ethan Russell.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
The family extends special thanks and appreciation to St. Claire Hospice caregivers as well as nurses Jessi Gulley and Nathan Dillon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Claire Hospice, 222 Medical Circle, Morehead, KY 40351.
