Ruth Roe Conn, age 90, of Dry Branch, Olive Hill, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.
She was born February 22, 1927, in Elliott County, and was a daughter of the late James Roe and Lillie Leadingham Roe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur D. Conn; a daughter, Christine Conn; three brothers, Jessie, David, and George Roe; six sisters, Gracie Boggs, Nola Henderson, Rebecca Henderson, Martha Carter, Syble Henderson, and Dorothy Conn; and six grandchildren, Michael Lee Stevens, Toby Conn, Tony Conn, Penny Conn, Eric Conn, Wendall Blanton.
Mrs. Conn is survived by three sons, Harvey J. (Debra) Conn, Randall Conn, and Darrell Wayne Conn, all of Olive Hill; four daughters, Sharlene (Donald) Blanton of Circleville, Ohio, Lillie Mae (Bob) Gamble of Adelphia, Ohio, Pamela (Donald) Sloan of Olive Hill, and Lois Ann (Marty) Stevens of Morehead; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
She was a homemaker and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Mrs. Conn loved her family and enjoyed gardening.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Markus Giese officiating. Burial will follow in Conn Cemetery on Dry Branch in Carter County.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
