Strossie Faye's Story
Strossie Faye Reynolds Brown Edens, age 84, of Ditney Ridge, Morehead, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.
Born January 27, 1933, at Devils Fork in Elliott County, she was a daughter of Avery and Lula Mays Reynolds. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Dale Brown, in 1952; her second husband, Royal Edens, in 1989; and one sister, Lillian Lewis.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Kegley and her husband Donald of Morehead; one son, Scott Edens and his wife Vickie of Morehead; one sister, Dovie Adkins and her husband Chester Dude of Sandy Hook; four grandchildren, Shelby Edens, Abby Edens, Genafae Howard, and Curtis Dale Kegley; five great grandchildren, Kennedi Rae Legg, Alyssa Nicole Wilson, Dalton Kegley, Dawson Kegley, and Cooper Kegley, as well as extended family and friends.
Strossie was a homemaker and former custodian at Morehead State University. She enjoyed sewing, working puzzles and word search. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who treasured time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She was a member of the Brinegar Church of God and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bro. Victor Mabry and Bro. Elijah Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowen Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is 5 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
