William Bill Lequire, Sr., age 64 of Big Woods Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at his home.
He was born May 1, 1953, in Maryville, Tennessee, the son of the late Wayne E. Lequire, Sr., and Jean Ingram Lequire. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Lequire, Jr.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sue Alene Roe Lequire, whom he married March 31, 1972; two sons, William Lequire, Jr., of Aurora, Illinois, and Ben A. Lequire of Rensselaer, Indiana; one daughter, Lana Sue Charles and husband Joe of Mt. Sterling; one grandson, Max Charles; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Charles.
Other survivors include one brother, Steve of Oahu, Hawaii; one sister, Sondra of Rockford, Illinois, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Bill graduated from Morehead State University with associate and bachelors degrees in engineering. He retired in 1999 as quality control manager at Sealmaster after working 29 years. He enjoyed nature, being outdoors with his dogs, fishing, and in younger years, working on cars. Bill was a member of Morehead ChristWay Church of God and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Buford Abner officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
