Charles "Charlie" Richard Traylor, 68, of Salt Lick, died Friday, October 4, 2019 at UK Medical Center.
He was born on March 3, 1951 in Salt Lick to the late Ivan and Hannah Peckens Traylor.
Charlie was a Salt Lick native and of the Christian faith. He was a simple man and enjoyed his family, sci-fi and was very talented wood worker; built small sailboats which included the smallest details. Charlie loved spending time with his friends and family and they will miss him dearly.
He is survived by four sisters, Judy Omohundro of Morehead, Carol Caudill of Salt Lick, Debra Markwell of Morehead and Irene Childress (Alan) of Texas; one niece, Vanessa McCarty (Scott) of Salt Lick; two great nephews, Jacob McCarty (Hangphan) of Iowa and Ransom McCarty of Salt Lick; two great nieces, Shelby Reed (Navada) of Menifee County and Sydney McCarty of Salt Lick; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his wife of twenty-one years, Deanna "Dee" Snider Traylor; three brothers, Larry Traylor, Alan Traylor and Ivan Traylor; two sisters, Patricia Norris and Barbara McCarty.
