James R. Hosier
James "Jim" Hosier, age 74, of Morehead, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020, at his residence.
Born October 17, 1945, in Harveysburg, Ohio, he was a son of the late Harry Hosier and Nellie Campbell Plank. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Hosier, Jr.; three sisters, Joyce Hosier, Jean Hosier, and Edna Chaney; and one great grandchild.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carol Rigdon Hosier, whom he married October 10, 1986; two sons, Zeke (Kimberly) Hosier and Todd (Teresa) Plank; one step son, Anthony (Reva) Stacy, all of Morehead; four daughters, Kimberly (Dale) Dickson of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Dawn Walker of Morehead, Suzette (Kevin) Way of Pittsford, Michigan, and Holly (James) Carpenter of Hillsdale, Michigan; one sister, Barbara Clark of Troy, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was a proud U. S. Navy Vietnam Veteran and retired from the Morehead Walmart. He formerly worked for Ford Motor Company in Romulus, Michigan, Ice Masters in Lexington, and Larry Fannin's Chevrolet in Morehead. Jim was a member of Sharkey Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, junkyard shopping, going to church, and especially spending time with his family.
Due to COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, a private family visitation and service will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with private burial immediately following at Sardis Cemetery with Pastor Harley Sexton, Jr. and Pastor Elijah Sexton officiating.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sharkey Baptist Church, 4895 KY HWY 801, Morehead, KY 40351, or St. Claire Hospice, 222 Medical Circle, Morehead, KY 40351.
A public memorial service and military honors will be held at a later date.
