Leeann Rae Crusie Keeys
April 26, 1954 - April 27, 2020
Leeann Rae Crusie Keeys, age 66, of Keeys Lane, Morehead, passed away Monday, April 27, 2020, at her residence.
Born April 26, 1954, in Chillicothe, Ohio, she is the only child of Marian E. Allen Crusie of Morehead and the late Robert Franklin Crusie. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Harold "Mike" Keeys on July 2, 2001.
In addition to her mother, who lived with Leeann, she is survived by a son, Robby Keeys, and a daughter, Betsy Keeys, both of Morehead; and three grandsons, Lucas Michael Manner, Gabriel Keeys, and Benett Rowe.
Mrs. Keeys earned her bachelor's and master's degree, as well as Rank I, from Morehead State University. She spent almost 30 years as a teacher and administrator in Fleming and Rowan counties. In 1975, she began her career as a teacher at Ewing Elementary and transferred to Flemingsburg Elementary until she retired in 2004. Following her retirement, Mrs. Keeys became the Director of Rowan County Christian Academy, where she remained until 2017. Throughout her career, she was well respected and loved by teachers, students, and parents alike and greatly impacted and changed the lives of many children along the way.
Mrs. Keeys cherished her family and was her grandsons "biggest cheerleader." She was a faithful and longtime member of Morehead First Church of God.
Due to the COVID-19 regulations set forth by the Governor, a private service for immediate family will be held Thursday, April 30, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Pastor Jeremy Halstead officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
